When to measure?
Regular measurement of peak flow values is important for monitoring your condition. Physicians typically recommend taking one measurement in the morning and one in the evening on a daily basis. Measurements should also be taken when feeling poorly or experiencing shortness of breath. Always take measurements before inhaling any prescribed drugs.

The “Send ID/Tranfer” button is greyed out (Not Active).
Make sure that the Patient ID is selected and that there is a yellow box around it.
The blood pressure monitor will not respond, it has three dashes across the screen.
The BP monitor connects to the computer via a USB port. When connected to the USB cable the monitor defaults to the “data transfer” mode and you cannot use the monitor. The buttons on the BP monitor will be non-responsive until the BP monitor is no longer connected.
What ID to use? Problems can be encountered when a lengthy or intricate ID is entered.
When you assign yourself an ID number such as 1001. The monitor deals with that format the best.
Can I wash the cuff?
No, the cuffs of home monitors are generally not designed to be washed. This might change the cuff dimensions and lead to a loss in accuracy. But under normal application it is not required to wash the cuff. Spots on the cuff can be removed carefully with a damp cloth and soapsuds.
Is a manual monitor as accurate as an automatic device?
Both systems supply the same accuracy. Automatic models have an installed electric pump instead of the hand pumping ball but this has no influence on the accuracy.
Can I connect any cuff as long as it fits to the connection port?
